Torrid is the second book in the Sordid series. But, no need to read the first book to enjoy this one. Be aware though just like the first book it has some dark themes. So if that's not your thing you might want to skip this one. Although, it is not as dark as the first one I still caution you. 

Oksana is a strong willed girl who has seen a lot in her life and comes with many secrets. When we meet Vasillije he is in a place of power and when he seeks Oksana he wants power over her. Over her mind, her body, her soul. As much as they each want want to fight the attraction they feel. No matter what they do they just can't seem to escape it. There is so much tension and passion you can't even cut it with a knife. 

This book was so hot I could not seem to put it down. Took it to the toilet, read it while I really should have been working and much to the dismay of my family I read it at the dinner table.
